Noob shipyard question - View ship stats?

So I've not bought another ship yet. If I go into the shipyard I can see:-

What seems a shame is I can't click/hover and see the spec of the other craft?

I assume if I were to click on that eagle I would buy it? Or would I get a details screen there and then a confirmation (are you sure)?

Ships are far too cheap. I expect to get one for free with my cereal when I see these prices. I hope this is only temporary to speed up the debugging phase.

I can only assume that you have a lot of time at your disposal to put into this game. At the current rate I get to play and earn credits, it's gonna take me at least a week until i can afford a Viper / Cobra.
For people like me (job, kids, etc), I hope the prices stay like this otherwise I'll have to play for months to get a new ride.

I see your point.
And you are right I do have too much time on my hands. :)
