Just logged on for 1st time and I have googled landing but it is not working for me. I am doing the tutorial, I fly in get the blue landing target with my red dot in the middle, drop down and nothing happens, I just hit the floor (landing gear is down and I have a pad and landing permission). I have tried about 10 times and nothing, I can fly ok and get to the pad no worries and line up and thrust down (oowww err) but zip, could it be bug?

do a 180 on the pad. try landing in the other direction. Same thing happen to me. Found that I had to land facing the tilting ramps.
Thx for reply! No joy, Each attempt I have tried multiple positions (hmmmmm) but nothing and with respect tutorial has zero information (really needs to tell you HOW to do something not just WHAT you want us to do

but all cool!)While in a station and all is working as it should, you face the ship toward the tower with the spinning radar antenna. if the radar image of your ship is moving opposite to your controls then aim the nose of the ship down toward the pad, roll the ship 180 and pull back up, now the image should follow your control and the target should turn blue when the ship is centered.
I've sometimes had this in Open when it's been really busy. I get docking clearance and fly to the pad, but I don't get the docking assist display coming up and I can't land.
To solve: Fly back out of the station, cancel the docking and request again. Fly back in and it should now work. My record is 4 attempts at this before it worked. I'm thinking this is a bug.
