Continuing the trend of sequels to already existing packs, with the Africa DLC 2 and the Asia DLC 2, what animals would you like to see in a second North America Pack? I'll start;
First we have the Wolverine, which, for me at least, was the most glaring exclusion from the North America Animal Pack. This hardy, vicious mustelid would fit right in any North American, Asian, or European zoo.
Second on this list we have the Roosevelt Elk. I fully admit I have a soft spot for these guys, and there might be some bias here because of that, but regardless, I think it would be a great addition. We desperately need more representation for Cervidae, and out of all the other species, I think that the Roosevelt Elk has a good chance of being chosen. Hearing this majestic animal's bugling cries would truly be a treat.
Thirdly we have the Walrus, by far the most requested pinniped in the community meta-wishlist, and for good reason. These tusked behemoths would undoubtedly stand out among the other pinnipeds in the game, and I would argue it's the last pinniped this game needs.
Fourthly we have the American Black Bear. This is an extremely common species throughout North America and in captivity, and how cool would it be to see one in-game with the rare Kermode trait?
Fifth on the list is the Mountain Goat. These hoofed climbers, despite their name, are more closely related to animals such as serows and the chamois. These animals are rare but not unheard of in captivity, and they could utilize the goat climbing mountain enrichment item introduced in the Europe Pack.
Sixth on the list we have yet another animal high up on the community meta-wishlist, the Musk Ox. These huge, shaggy ungulates, like the Mountain Goat, aren't very common in captivity, but that hasn't stopped Frontier before, so why should it stop them now?
Seventh on the list and moving away from the North into the South, we have the Collared Peccary. Although not technically a pig, instead belonging to the family Tayassuidae, this species' wide range opens up possibilities for many different habitat designs.
The final animal for this pack, and the pack's exhibit animal, is the Alligator Snapping Turtle. I flip-flopped between Alligator Snapping Turtle and the Axolotl for a while, but eventually the former won out. These large freshwater turtles would be a welcome edition to any player building a reptile house or an aquatic-themed zoo.
