Hardware & Technical Not a good time...goodbye PSU!

Of course, when a new patch should be dropping and of course alien stuff going my Power Supply decides to go out. I didn't think anything of the power tripping today but when I got home and turned on the good old PC....nothing. Either psu caused the trip and went out or the trip screwed the PSU.

Going to be a crappy few weeks or more till i can get a new one. Fly safe cmdrs and cause some havoc in my name.

You have my sympathies Cmdr Raptargh.

Perhaps you can hope for 2.2.03 being a slow roll out and coming at the end of the month - rather than the middle. I expect the next bit of the aliens is hidden in there.

Sorry to hear.

I've been happy with my Corsair AX1200. I've kept it about half loaded nearly 24/7 for a couple of years.

Not sure if you need something that beefy though. Either way, best of luck. o7

So I noticed a little green cap near the fan. Opened up the psu and it appears to be one of the capcitors. It looks like the outercasing of the capcitor, where it lists the voltage and everything blew or came off. I'm guessing that's the culprit. Nothing is broken from the board just the little casing. Hoping to stick with another 900w.

I'm going with it being thargoids messing with my internals
