Not Coming out of Orbital Cruise

This has happened a few times.

Next thing I know I look up and there's no chance of saving myself.
Now granted I'm in a shield less Cutter at full throttle headed toward the surface of a planet.

It's possible I have come out of OC and hit the throttle and sealed my fate ?
I just am not sure.
Has that happened to anyone else ?

Thanks and fly dangerous !

Did you come in at the optimal 35 angle or did you go straight down at 55?

If it's the latter you're always going to splat. You come in at an angle you'll have a much better chance at pulling up.

Also take a note of the Gravity while you're in Orbital Cruise and add about a G on to whatever you're hurtling toward.

At 1g alone, it's enough to pancake a Cutter who's too hasty at trying to clear the 2k entry point to surface landing level. Make sure you level off and hit the boost to correct your velocity.

Bigger ships need to descend slowly. Even the slightest amount of gravity will grapple onto the total weight of the ship and drag it down HARD with little room for error on course correction.
