Not Enough Cargo in space anymore.!!!

Maybe because salvage is illegal in most civilized systems and the reward isn’t worth the risk?
Personally I’m with you, I would have enjoyed playing as a beach comber/salvage company owner. Sadly the pay sucks so I don’t.
The first time I landed in a USS with what looked like an in tact but dead ship, I spent a half hour trying to figure out if I could some how salvage it. Instead, I got a fine for carrying illegal cargo when I tried to bring the personal effects to the station in the system as salvage. It put me off the whole thing.

Exactly devs need to buff the salvage side of game play it's a huge trick frontier are missing i feel.
Salvage missions and contracts should be a huge business with space the galaxy should be littered with wrecks both planet side and in space, i'm shocked it's just so empty, i feel frontier have created a football pitch size galaxy with a pin head of content with such a shame.
There is a real opportunity for ship scrap salvage yards a whole new salvage mission structure, selling off damaged modules, taking "worth while" salvage missions ( something else frontier need to improve is credit balance in game...) Bringing back entire wreck ships to scrap for large credit sums (not forgetting having the ability for medium and large ships to dock and clamp on to these wrecks and to bring them in.
Hopefully they are listening.

Salvage CONTRACTS are all over the place, and pay VERY WELL!, but that entails risking a large wing "dropping in" on your collecting of salvage and chewing your hull for breakfast! USS's are a different beast altogether!
My point exactly why is this not balanced with solo play!, the whole salvage mission in conjunction with the search & rescue needs a huge buff it's like it's a objective you can do in game but is SO limited to what you can find, it is a little pointless, it's not the first time frontier have added something to the game something to do, but it is impossible to find the items, thought they would have learnt this by now. Far easier to add to much and thin it out than to add hardly no content or impossible to find and remember to add it later just seems backwards to me.
