Not in coelho Station after tutorial

Hi,

I already completed the tutorial once. I came to Matet to start the game. I deleted my backup file to restart the game from scratch.
I replay both toturial (FSP/Ship) but the game do not start at coelho station in Matet system. I remain in HIP97950 with my little sidewinder ... :/ cause i want to replay in the noobs area.

Someone know how to fix this ?

Thank

Start in Horizons?

You probably want to press this button under Options (only visible when you are not in the game)

You can't have deleted your backup file - it's not on your machine

Edit: You can re-use the same CMDR name

I played both tutorial and played a bit in Matet, Dromi area. I wanted to restart the game from scratch and press this button to delete my saved game.
After i could replay the both tutorial but i never be placed by the game in Matet system. I already in HIP97950 and Matet is far far away ...
And i indeed can re-used the same CMDR name

No ... Start in Odyssey.

I meant - start up your clear save in Horizons. Seems that starting a fresh commander in Oddity leaves you at a surface base somewhere outside the noob-zone. Basically, as we suspected, Oddity is a separate game from Horizons - just some linking tagged-on with very little foresight.

I found in the map. I do not have the the autorisation to access. But i don't know why since a erase my save game.

If you found it in the map - you are already sitting in your ship, and probably have again started using Odyssey. It should not be permit locked, since you are a new player, but obviously the developers did not think of new players, only of experienced players starting with the DLC. Why am I not sursprised...

If you have not yet done a lot, I recommend to clear your save again. The training missions (the one from Odyssey, which you did and the one from Horizons) can safely be skipped, so no need to do them again.

Important: After clearing your save again do not touch the Odyssey button, start with Horizons: It should offer a training mission too, but a different one. Do it or skip it, and then you should sit in the Newbie zone with your ship. Start, do your first missions and forget Odyssey for a while. You will earn to fly, do missions, and have a much better experience.

If - after learning to fly - you want to check out Odyssey again, just start it, but expect, that some things may not work as expected, and maybe you are kicked out of the starter zone again. I do not know, since I dodged a bullet did not buy Odyssey. But it is said, that Horizons works as normal, so after clearing your save and starting in Horizons you should be in the starter area.

I found the trick and that'a what you said MoonRacer. To start on the newbee zone, we have to start the game with horizon only. now i'm landed on Coelho station.
I will play in newbee zone to gain credits and after i will play throught Odyssey

Thank all !! ;)

This is definitely something that needs to be fixed. Players who have had time in Horizons end up where they were after they do the "flashback" tutorial for Odyssey. That's fine, that's how it should work. However, new players should be left in the starter systems somewhere. It's not fair to new players to have to start in Horizons play a bit and then go in to Odyssey. The Odyssey tutorial mission should end at Coelho station, period. I actually logged it in the Issue tracker. https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/36527

I wish I'd known this before going through the excellent tutorial for Odyssey with a new character. Now stuck in HIP 97590 without a pilot's license wishing I was in Dromi..

Thanks for your advice. I installed Horizons, completed the fly to Mawson Dock mission and then quit the game. Now when I start Odyssey, I am in Mawson Dock with a pilot's license!

Even so, it is bizzare that Frontier has completely blocked off the PF District if you start in Odyssey.
You aren't wrong, I'm amazed (and annoyed) that you don't begin the game in the starter systems.

That said, I just started a Horizons play through (with an aim to switch to Oddy) just to see how it goes.

It's weird there, in Odyssey. There are no Odyssey settlements there at all, so don't expect much in the way of foot-stuff.

It's all good now! I'm happy blasting away in the starter area getting greedy with bounties and dying alot before getting out alive and claiming them! having so much fun :)

I think it's broken now. I have clear/saved, started in Horizons (after update 14), and my character spawns outside the starter zone. It seems like nobody start there now!

Did you happen to start in Bakers Prospect? If you happen to recall. Im in a simliar position. Wondering if what you said is the case, they dont start anyone in starter systems now, even in Horizons?
