Not promising it will work for ever, its a slight risk but.....

oculus have said no promises of continuing support for DK2 after jan this year.

(I would imagine steamVR would continue to work however)

but apparently these guys are accepting offers of £100 for new sealed oculus rift DK2s.

sure, its no CV1, but its better than the chinese knock offs and at 1/5 of the price of CV1

my mate ordered on this morning. his offer of 105 was accepted (he wanted to beat any £100 offers)

I'm still holding off waiting for for CV2 so I'm still using DK2 with no issues except.... black smearing and nebula's not very nice. Used to be alot better with using sweetfx but that's a nogo now.
For me upgrading to CV1 for just slight improvement AND having to get new PC to be able to handle 90fps is not worth it!
When CV2 or higher fov hmd becomes then me takes full plunge.
In the meantime I'm ok with DK2.
Installation is identical to the CV1, just do NOT go thru the oculus calibration as it will screw everything up and you will have to re-install everything. If you are going thru steam I cannot help you there.
