Those are excellent pictures! You might be interested in the astronomy sub-forum, where a lot of stuff like this is discussed.

And since we're talking about photos, the forum photography thread is pretty awesome (and awesomely pretty).

The Visions of Jupiter image reminded me of those Guylian seashell chocolates. Beautiful images but I have to question the bottom most one. Is that a composite image. Andromeda is still a very small speck in the night sky isn't it?! Ah, yes I just followed the link!
