It's uncommon unless you're in a hotspot, OP, like a CG, engineer base, etc...

Even rares running, I happen upon another CMDR maybe one per day. Sometimes I go two or three without seeing anyone.

been playing on pc since last night is the pc versions polularity low?

It is a big galaxy, very small chance of encountering real people away from certain "hot spots" such as Engineer's bases, rare goods sources and of course community goal stations where you will nearly always find some griefers as well as non-psychopath players.

In the last few weeks, i saw nearly anybody in Jameson Memorial in OPEN. So yes, OPEN seems a little underpopulated at the moment.

Literally one guy, OP. Not even at a rares site... just some rando High Tech in Boom that I decided to sell some metals to.

He looked like a meanie, too... wanted CMDR in a combat conda. Probably a good thing I caught him sleeping on the pad.

Follow the Community Goal circuit. Kaal is active right now, sign up for the goal in the mission board and head over. It's a combat goal that will require you to hand in bounty vouchers obtained from the local system - action is in the resource extraction sites and supercruise.

More hollow rectangles than you can shake an FSD interdictor at.

Be warned, there are going to be a lot of veteran commanders in heavily engineered ships so get your hi wake drills down tight and don't get caught sleeping.

Space is big, Open population isn't exactly at its fullest, but the biggest problem is the P2P dice roll. At the start system of that Salome even where thousands of players were i was never instanced with more than 6 at a time. Just gotta get lucky my friend!

No, space is just really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. really.. big.

You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space.

Despite all the signs being right, it can happen.

Was in Lave last evening. Did some missions (and shipped a bit of booze to Didi) while waiting for my fighter to be shipped over, saw lots of CMDRs in Lave station.

Finally got the fighter, and didn't see any more CMDRs in the station. Jumped into the high CZ, and there they were. Unfortunately for me, all(?) of them were Alliance supporters, moping up the last Lave Radio supporters in that CZ. My little Vulture didn't last long after declaring my affiliation...

Returned to the CZ, and I was on my own. Didn't see a single CMDR for the rest of the session.
