Powerplay not sure what im doing wrong

ok so ive just pledged to aisling duvall as i want the prismatic shield for my vulture and anny. ive gone to a system owned by patreus, hip101846 , and have been killing various ships from different powers including imperial support ships owned by patreus for about the last two hours. ive checked my transactions tabs and i dont have any merits! what am i doing wrong

As a pledge to AD, you have to engage in the activities that she rewards.

1. Preparation - Not possible this cycle since she is in Turmoil

2. Expansion - Not possible this cycle since she is in Turmoil

3. Fortification - this involves trucking Materials to her Control Systems. Pick up materials from the Power Contact in Medupe City in Cubeo and haul them to one of the systems on the Control tab.

4. Undermining - Look at the other powers and visit one of their Control systems to oppose their fortification. The Control Tab for the other powers provides details on what has to be done to oppose/undermine the system.

4a. If you are trying to undermine Denton, then you need to steal supplies from his Imperial flagged ships (not kill them).

If you are just interested in killing Enemy players/NPC's, then head to a non Empire Power control system to undermine/oppose.
