not to happy

Probably a similar bug like the one that crashes the game when you transfer UA or UP to your SRV.

If you have video raise a ticket, they will reimburse you and maybe give you back and UP and UA, because the game crashing is NOT YOUR FAULT, despite what everyone is trying to tell you in this thread, even if they have fancy signatures.

im more intrested in pointing out it to everyone really, i can see this happening to alot of people... probably more so then ever,, fly safe

There is, of course, one other possibility...

The ship you were trying to transfer the cargo to either did not have sufficient space in the hold or did not have a cargo hold altogether. In which case you would not be able to transfer your cargo to it (as there is no space for it) and would not be able to dock your srv with the cargo on board for the exact same reasons.

ya there was cargo, i chuck out some stuff out of the ship freeing up space, but when i enter the ship it went back to main menu, i also tried to transfer what was on the srv to the ship first then get in, still dint work. but even with all this im still having fun,

....now if i could get onto my ship, there would have been no problem....

Why did you not get onto your ship?

Log out of game, log back onto the non-Horizons edition of Elite and bang, you're in your ship.

Fly to station, land, log off and log back on to Horizons.

Replace SRV, fly back and shoot more eggs.

Just carry a load of materials to repair yourself. I think I repaired myself about 8 times while I was down there.

Admittedly, most of them were due to bad driving, not corrosive cargo. :p

At least I got a nice souvenir screenshot.

Yes it is. thanks for sharing. But the death was caused, essentially, by your own actions. Keep an eye on the integrity (yes I know it's all very amazing and cool). ;)

Yup. As a long-time hauler of dangerous goods and many UAs... if you're hauling many of these things, or a handful for long periods of time, you're hauling death and need to be acutely aware of your ship systems. Reboot/repair is your friend if systems reach 0%

Another one is if your canopy goes, you can't repair it at all, even with AMFUs. This is a good thing.

Another tip, don't put them straight in your ship. It will degrade your ship systems while you're not in it. Stash them next to it and only pick them up when needed.

FD shouldn't make it easy to avoid this sort of damage, as it's a critical part of what makes these things so valuable and exciting to haul.

Happened to me last night also, spent 2 hours trying to start the machine with 6 other guys i met there, the UL's wouldn't spawn and it took us forever to figure out where to jettison the UA/Probes because we were trying to parkour the ramp rather than drop them on the green glowing pads. Eventually a UA ate through my life support and i suffocated. Good thing too coz i have work this morning and it was 1am.

Honestly though i had a blast even though i didn't see it, larking around with a bunch of others trying to problem solve, 2 blokes in SLFs as they didn't have SRVs left flying around the corridors. First time in over 1.5 years of owning the game i noticed it has Multiplayer.

Guess i'll repair rearm (bring a 2nd SRV) and be back their tonight.

Isn't it also fun to have a game when things can potentially go wrong though? There is a danger of losing something? Of learning a lesson?

And that's the point isn't it? No risk, ultimately no real satisfaction from overcoming risk.

It's a game, in a game we should all expect to lose occasionally (and obviously aim to lose less & less often). If there is no danger in losing, where's the game? where's the fun?

I don't mind dying in the game, it is occasionally a bummer [if I lose a lot of exploration data, for instance] but it is also a massive incentive not to make the same mistake next time. Ultimately fun.

Losing an SRV doesn't seem like anything worth griping about, getting new unknown artefacts? Easy.

So I suppose to answer the OP question? Does the OP believe that if the forum overwhelming support the OP's point of view, FDEV will be influenced? And how much time will that take compared to just buying a new SRV and re-getting the artefacts?

There may or may not have been a bug, but it appears the mistakes made out-numbered any game glitch. But that's just my opinion - I am no authority. I just enjoy the game - even when I die.

Sorry I didn't put in a vote for you, OP!

people know they get heat damage from the machine, still no mats to repair the srv on the fly?
driving an srv until the fuel is used up and no mats to renew the fuel?

sorry, but that stuff is everyones own fault.

Lol. My thoughts. The OP thinks the Alien artefacts are the issue, but in reality he lost his SRV due to the GGP (Galactic Grammar Police).

because everyone speaks that utterly ugly language since birth?
