Notiriety Zero. Cannot pay bounty at IF???

I saw this in a thread elsewhere but can't fin it now


My Notoriety is Zero. But it was 1 several hours ago after killing a NPC bounty hunter.

Now I am at my home base, conveniently an IF and I cannot pay the bounty. It indicates that they can't help me unless my Notoriety is zero.

Checking my right hand panel my Notoriety is.... zero ????

EDIT: Well that was easy. Logged out, logged back and was able to pay /thread.

Maybe just a caching problem? Have you tried just logging out and back in?

If this helps Bill.... I accidentally killed an NPC, I received an 800credit bounty in my home system. So went directly to an IF in another system paid off the bounty (my notoriety was 0 ) then all was good again.

Someone had this problem recently. Now I wonder if it's possible the the notoriety doesn't go down by whole numbers but gradually. If it went down gradually but only whole numbers were displayed (like the hull health, for example) it could be possible to have notoriety, I don't know, 0.4, which would be shown as 0 but considered non-zero by the game.

So you could wait a couple more game hours to see. Or just bug report it.

Update (Edited OP almost immediately!) - I logged the game and was able to pay.

It had been much more than 2 hrs game time so was very puzzled.


So FYI relogging on the game seems to fix. [up]
