Nova Imperium have taken control of the Paresa system after major victory in elections.

Following the massacre of Imperial citizens in Paresa, and public executions throughout the Empire, public opinion in the Paresa system has swung dramatically in favour of Nova Imperium. The uncharacteristic brutality shown by the Emperor was cited by many Paresan citizens and independent pilots as their reason for supporting Hadrian Duval, along with Aegis's failure to prevent yet another round of Thargoid attacks.


At a rally in Dyson City, Governor Milana Alvarado of Nova Imperium gave the following statement in her speech:


"Aegis cannot be trusted, and has done nothing but provoke alien attacks against our homes and then step aside while independent pilots do their work for them. Where is the benefit of the resources that flow to them? They have failed to protect us, more systems fall every week. When the Thargoids come for your homes, do you trust Aegis to save you? A broken tool should be replaced!"

With Nova Imperium now in control, the Paresa system has become a haven for those fleeing from the Emperor's persecution. It is currently unclear if neighbouring systems will remain loyal to the Emperor, fearing further executions, or if they will follow Paresa's example.

Nah, its just that no one in the Empire cares about generic boring stories three times. Here's hoping this lasts slightly longer than the Superpower Unification League, eh? :p
