But I think there is one piece of common interest: The destruction of the current Empire. Wheter or not I will see you burning down Arissa's assets remains to be seen. But if I spot you, know that I will protect you from any oppressors who think it is justified to maintain the invalid and illegitimate rule of Arissa.

The Rise of Nova Imperium
01 NOV 3304
A radical group called Nova Imperium is gaining influence throughout the Empire.
Imperial Herald journalist Cassia Carvalho highlighted the situation:
“Nova Imperium claims that to survive the Thargoid conflict, the Empire must sever contact with all other systems and concentrate on protecting itself. In recent months, the organisation has become a genuine political force.”
“The group’s leader is known only as the Imperator. Dressed in an Imperial Navy uniform, he is a charismatic presence who speaks of ‘a return to the honour of the old days’ and ‘the glory of Achenar’.”
“Many traditionalist citizens, unhappy with recent cross-superpower cooperation, have embraced the Imperator’s rhetoric. On several worlds, Nova Imperium’s followers hold rallies with a distinctly martial feel.”
“So far there has been little response from Imperial authorities, but it is clear that Nova Imperium will soon become impossible to ignore.”

Hadrian Augustus Duval has broadcast a message following the purge of isolationist group Nova Imperium:
“Arissa Lavigny-Duval has revealed the true face of her regime – one based on brutality and terror. The callous execution of Imperator Mordanticus, in conjunction with thousands of Imperial citizens, shows her desperation to cling onto power at any cost.”
“Nova Imperium survives in the Paresa system, a single light in the darkness. We stand for an Empire that respects everyone, from slaves to senators. I truly hope that any who value honour and tradition will help keep our spark alive.”
“Our martyred leader will never be forgotten. In his honour, I have taken the title of Imperator Duval, until such time as the people choose me as their rightful emperor.”
“Memento Mordanticus!”

On June 6th, 3306, a wing of Nova commanders undertook operations in hostile territory. We are glad to see that the flame of Kaeso Mordanticus is, contrary to popular belief, far from being extinguished.
Whilst the mission of these commanders cannot be published, we can confirm that indeed, one needs more than brutal force to crush the Imperator's forces.

Another operation well done by the nova navy today, we cleared the last few high conflict zones and even got a capital ship sent by Hadrian himself, i cant publicy show the commanders that did the job but we are here and now we are here to stay!

Weirdly I used to think the same, so I thought I'd join an organisation the Empire labelled as Terrorists. I figured with Lavignys Legion on our case we were essentially Anarchists anyway and it would be a lot of fun for a "Commercial reallocation specialist" such as myself.
Then three days later what do you know, peace breaks out and suddenly there's a whole new opportunity to break new ground as I'm now "A respected fellow Imperial," it even says it in the deal.
Clearly the peace deal had nothing to do with me joining.

I may or may not fight for or against a superpower on any given day of the week before changing my mind again depending on whatever the hell suits me.

The Nova Navy has been challenged by a corporation, The Paresa Public Industries, whom espouse that their Corporation should own Kahn Orbital. Being the rather fair businessmen, they approached the Imperator with a deal: If they would lose, their station would be ours. Likewise, the return would be true if the Imperator would lose.
The Imperator did not hestiate, and 4 days ago, dispatched the Nova Navy to crush this challenger to the Imperator's reign. With 3 days past, the Corporation mounted a final attack. The Nova Navy was fighting hard, and it looked like a stalemate. That was, until all vessels received a transmission from our FSD signature detectors: Warning, Capital-class signature detected! Quickly, the Nova Navy vessels pulled back, as a hyperspace portal opened, and the NNV Wojciechowski appeared.
It was a matter of time really now, before the Nova Navy crushed the enemy fleet. And with their final fleet destroyed, the Imperator had secured the starport that the Paresa Public Industries put at stake.
