Now come back, you space-coward !!!!

hell I tell you! 'Where on a flight, with my lil SW into space ... heading for some gold research in an unclaimed system.... In Supercruise mode I faced some unidentified signals, and I got started to be interdicted, 5 TIMES in a row! The 4 first times I just re-engaged supercruise, the 5th was too much.

YOU WANT ME? YOU FOUND ME! NOW YOU'LL GET ME!
DAMN!

Please commander, watch your language.
Max Weapons... Weapon maxed out commander....
Lock Target ! Target locked!
Deploy Weapons bzzzzzzt Weapons deployed commander

CONSIDERING... be assured, the day I'll get attacked by a real player commander, I just have to say "FIGHT ON"
... a Yes Commander will be heard whilst putting all pips to weapon, deploying weapons and locking the nearest threat!

But... against NPCs, I take advantage of the sexy voice of the bord computer ^^

Back to serious:
Must have been an eagle, as it was quick and handy... took me ages as this son of a non honorable mother always tried to get in my back... when I got him finally down to 20% of his Hull..... TSISSSCCCHHHHHH

GUESS WHAT! HE JUMPED!!!!! I just couldn't believe it! This guy just jumped!!!!! Didn't knew NPC would jump away...
Now I know that NPC jump when near to death, and also, ram, *******s! Oh didn't told you? Read this!
One hour ago, whilst NOT chasing gold but just delivered a package, I got interdicted by a SW, like mine! He didn't even scratched my shield, so neither the hull.... he was off 20% hull to die, when he made a kamikaze move and just rammed straight into my ship, which JUST before were 100% shielded AND hulled.... well, gone in 60 milliseconds ^^

NPC: WATCHING YOU! SERIOUSLY!

:D

Happened to me first day; some NPC called Gloria pulled me out of SC and attacked. I managed to get her shields down and hull to 16% then as I was about to deliver the coup de grace she jumped out right in front of me.
I thought that you couldn't jump if you were actively in combat but it would seem that NPC's can.

The range of reactions are interesting. I normally trade so no real point in doing anything but running. I was exploring the other day and was interdicted by a Viper. They were full of the trash talk - I'm in a Lakon 6 with 2 turreted pulse so I'm sure they should be confident. You are going to Die! You have two choices ... Very dramatic. But I wanted to see how the turrets track so I target them, one hit, no visible damage to their shield, they turn 180 shouting 'This isn't over!'. I'm thinking some kid stole their daddy pirates keys.

Currently both player and NPC can jump into super cruise even if mass locked. It takes longer to charge though. It's possible to target the frameshift drive.

Jumping is still possible it just takes longer to charge the hyper-drive if the ship is being hit. Also, IIRC, being hit increases the chance of miss-jumps.

anyone can jump while in combat, you just have to stow your hardpoints it usualy is modified time x the mass of the nearest ship(s)

Npc jumping is bugged I think, they jump out 99% of the time for me, right after saying I'll be turned into space dust. Also, reason why u get interdicted so much in 1 jump is because they will chase you. Yes, they will chase you, consecutive interdictions are usually by the same npc.

You must be new here :D In Premium beta NPCs ran away 100% of the time. Too smart :D FD made them more taking risks.

Yep only bought into the beta on Friday so I wasn't aware that they usually turned tail. She was in an Eagle but even the basic SW is surprisingly good if you keep it at corner speed and keep hitting them... :D

The weird thing is that day one I was getting interdicted virtually every jump, since I've destroyed a few NPC's I haven't had a single interdiction in two days even in my hauler.
Talking of the hauler, is it worth sticking point defence weapons on it i.e. do they actually work?
Also if you sell the hauler, do you get the cost of the weps back?
Really want to get to the Cobra and I didn't want to waste $ on weps on the way as it were... :D
