With all love, but how is that supposed to work exactly? I haven't done any engineering yet, except for the AX weapons there are no modules that give me a chance against the Thags.
In the short-term (and probably a fair bit longer) 98% of the bubble will remain Thargoid-free, so you have plenty of time to prepare your ship first if you want to go fight them.
There are also non-combat activities which can support the war effort, so for those you can just get a shutdown neutraliser and a fast ship and you're good to go.
The 3 that are here roughly form a line upspin of the bubble. So not much intrusion as of yet.

if you watched todays live stream from fdev... you will know they are going to expand their influence, and take over more systems.
so... from what i see, the ones that started the war and where getting their asses kicked are crying for help dealing with this event... and fdev plans to expand it around the map.
players likely wont be able to control thargoid expansion.
wish yall had just left them the f alone, and perhaps not tried to rob them blind and kill them all off... all actions i do not support, nor do i feel i should be party to the thargoids finally dealing with humanity.
suppose we are all guilty by association tho.. we could have killed the humans that where committing the offenses against the only other species we've actually encountered.
sometimes its embarrassing to be part of this species.

Also your hostility towards your own kind, raises an eyebrow. Maybe you should find some deep hole in the galaxy, hide and wait it out until the War ends.

it is a twist in the plot tho, since we where actually at peace with them (or at least some of them) before this game started...
still, i have no mercy for those being killed. ive been doing my part since day one by not stealing from thargoids or trying to take over their resource harvesting sites.

i have given several tonnes of ma back to goids tho.
the tech, however.... is stolen from guardians, not goids.
thats why they hate it... they are programmed to wipe out guardian anything.
our fsd is based on their tech... but only based.
as for playing pong, why? i can still enjoy the game just fine, but that dont change the fact that we shouldnt be robbing these people.
whats more, when they object, we should not pretend to be victims as we are. but we are humans. we are overly entitled beings. too big for our britches. hopefully, this stuff humbles a few more of you to accept that we peeved an entity that we cannot defeat, and maybe cause you to stop fighting as though you have a right to defend those thieving liars.

cant speak for anyone else, but for me its rp... play the game you paid for lol. whatever made you pick up this title, do it. for me it wasnt combat, it was all the other stuff.... but i get it that some ppl just wanna shoot at stuff. sometimes i do that too, i just choose npc farming in human space for convenience in game.
im actually excited to see how long it takes ppl to realize they can force goids to expand in to ppls systems and really bork them like theyve never been borked before.... a new bgs awaits! im about to drop a pmf in game real soon too...
this gonna be fun.
but in the game i paid for, i dont wanna rob another species to do it and im certain that fdev would have written peace in to the game early if we had leaned that way... the players do decide quite a bit of what happens in game... but our effect has mostly become less profound as the years have gone by. this event is HUGE alongside anything thats happened in recent years, lore wise.
my opinions, as expressed here, are well in to the fringe of the lore and thats where i love to play. i wanna see how far i can go the other way.... and this game has facilitated that sort of player input alongside the majority most of the way.
at the end of the day tho, its just a game and no real people are getting hurt worse than butt hurt so play away man! do what you want! im on my way back to the bubble rn to settle in a new pmf so maybe we'll cross paths one day.
