Now THAT was funny

Purpose built a brand new enclosure especially for my Raptors, carefully chose my gene mods and started cooking.

Couple of minutes later first one was ready and I released her into the carnivore pen along with the two (very content) Ceratossaurus I baked ages ago.

Ordered the ACU to tranq the Raptor and went off to make sure her new home was ready then "Dead Dino" alert. WHAT??!!?

And of course, as soon as the Raptor was tranqed, one of the ceras just wandered over and a.t.e. her.

Classic.

Hehehe.. this is why I have a "holding area" - it's basically a small enclosure attached to the Hammond Centre. Leading off of this are two gates. One goes to the herbivore paddock, the other to the Ceratosaurus paddock.

Yeah, did that on the 1st island, this was just the default setup on island 2.

I think I'll just tranq everything when the next raptor is ready, then later give the creas their own place.

Well that is a good idea. Thanks :) .

I did something similar on island 1 with my raptors and dilos, two big pens with a smaller in the middle, with gates so I can lead new dinos to the appropriate paddock, and if I need a new ceratosaurus I just leave the gates closed and tranq it.

Made my first ceratosaur in the herbivore pen and in the time it took me to click on the helicopter and tell it to tranq the Dino she had already eaten a Struthi, that incident told me all I needed to know about keeping new dinos separated before moving them, lol.

An awesome idea how to save 400k and have more control over the population! Thanks. :)

I have a cera and 3 raptors living relatively peaceful in the same pen on island 2. Well, that is after the first angry encounters and not wanting to share food resulting in a raptor breaking out and killing 2 guests... minor hiccup, plenty of food and have been peaceful for a while now lol.
