Now that we have the details of 1.3. Any ideas what role the courier will fill?

Hey guys,

I was just wondering, now that we know the details of 1.3. Does any of you have some thoughts regarding the role of the courier? I myself am pretty excited about the courier and 13 in general,
but I was a little bit disappointed that there was no mention of the roles of the courier and the diamondback.

So maybe you guys have some thoughts regarding this.

Well, it's smaller, cheaper, and less prestigious than the Clipper. I expect it will be lightly armed and fast, but not carry much for cargo.

Yea, that was my thinking aswell. It will require master rank in empire to be able to buy it. I guess we´ll have to wait for the beta, so when people buy it, they can share all the details of it.

No it would have a small amount of cargo, because packages and documents aren't big. Just a consequence of me spending too much time in the logistics business.

A fast ship ala vulture, though no weapons only paper armor and no shields worth mentioning, 15 lj jump range, about superfast 500m/s 750 with boost. To get messages and spies across border patrols etc

Whereas the feds employ strong heavily armord space containers, slow but certain it gets there and back again.

VERY fast, long jump range, not much cargo space, enough weapons to -really- bite back. Not very well protected though.
