Now that's Smuggling!

Now that's an Epic Battle!

Okay, my hands are still shaking from that epic battle...

I was on a smuggling mission and I just dropped off the big load/payday and was on my way to the next one. After taking out about 4 ships (NPC) on the way, I was ready for another battle. It's been rather quite during this run.

So there I am, live streaming my smuggling run when I get interdicted by an Anaconda/expert. Okay, I'm feeling frisky. I'll fight rather then run, after all that's what make the smuggling runs fun, and I can cash in the bounties after - more credits.

Well the battle was fierce let me tell you, but the force was on my side . I kept hearing warnings of my canopy going down, then poof, out goes the glass. With a broken canopy (and forgetting to up the oxygen in my python), I had to continue to fight with no HUD. The Anaconda was hurt bad too, so I continued as the battle raged on. I can hear my missile locking sounding so knowing I'm at close range, I fire - Boom, Anaconda zero, me one!:D I survive.

Now with my oxygen counting down, I high tail it to the next station and look at my damage. OMG, I'm at 3% hull left. If I would have seen that while fighting I think I would have fainted!

I manage to make it to the outpost, oxygen restored but as I suspected, no repairs there . So now I have another 10min supply to make it to the next big station. Only problem is, I have no working HUD and I'm carrying Illicit cargo. Slowly I make it to the big station, get permission to land and boost, boost, boost in till I touch down.

Getting out of my beautiful, but badly damaged python (we've been through a lot together), I kiss the ground, throw the ground crew the keys and say fix it up please. Time for a cup of Tea. :p

Who says smuggling covert cargo is easy money...

Nice! Smuggling can be profitable, but the journey is sometimes more enjoyable than the cash. Sometimes. Cash is good though. :D

This proves my theory that the very best smugglers are indeed called Marra (slight spelling variations being acceptable, ofc).

Indeed the best smugglers are called Mar(r)a!

Awesome story! Thanks for sharing. I would have needed a scotch.. Not tea haha

After looking over the pics again, I think you're right about the tea, it's just not strong enough. I think that's the closest I've ever come to destruction without being destroyed.

Awe the stories we could tell...
