now they want me to haul cargo to exotic systems

I've been doing regular stuff to support my local faction I'm a fan of. For all the time, missions revolved around two to four neighboring sectors. Now I'm checking the mission board and all I see are cargo delivery requests to a system situated 250 ly away! Mission board is literally spammed by these missions and there is nothing else to pick. I've never seen that before and this makes me think - is this a bug, because that exotic location starts on the same letter as my usual cargo run system name. Moreover other factions from the system also want their stuff to move there, while the anarchists ask for delivery even further to an isolated system on the verge of the bubble. Why have they chosen such distant location? Originating system has no specific states, besides "none". Has anyone seen similar requests?

We've been discussing these in Jmanis' "Rev-enging Mission Boards" thread for a while. In summary:

- they show up just after the server reset on Thursdays and not at other times
- the bug is probably that they don't show up at other times, rather than that they do show up now, but Frontier aren't saying
- exactly where they go and why, when they do appear, is still being looked at

(Back when I was in the bubble, which was a while ago now, I used to quite like these missions as they tended to pay a fair bit better than a 'local' mission for not much more work, and were a handy thing to take if travelling a longer distance. So it's a pity if they don't still appear)

So that is what this is all about...
Anyways I requested arrival of my T9 heavy hauler, it took 8 minutes. I waited without leaving current session. And yes Ian Doncaster, these missions were really well paid, like 6 to 8 millions and I could stack 5 or 7 of them in a single run. I was really enthusiastic toward this long distance run because it was something different from regular and boring mission routine, but when I changed my current ship to T9 and re-visited the mission board... all of long distance haul missions were gone and replaced by usual missions to neighboring system. Pity :/

Damn! That's a shame. Maybe should have grabbed them first, summoned ship after.

I was fortunate in that I had a bunch of chain missions stacked. Since they don't ever do more than 2-3t of cargo, I had about four or five that were going to systems 200Ly away... 4 jumps out there in my Asp, and one jump between destinations, at 4-5m per mission. It was great.

But yeah, shameless cross-post, this is where I posted the results of the weekly tick tonight. They completely dry up within an hour or two, maybe even quicker, probably depends on how busy the system is.

Since they don't ever do more than 2-3t of cargo,
Those in my system asked for haulage volumes ranging from 80 to 180 tonnes. 250ly away in a fully laden T9 that is quite a space trucking mission.
