Now what to build?

I completed the primary port above a metal rich planet with 4 building slots on it but now I dont know what is beter to build to achieve the goal of supplying the materials to futher develop the system.

My goal with this system is to stabilish a supply base for posterior colonisation efforts in the area but I dont know what does what and if its better to build outposts or settkenebts. I just dont wanna mess it up.

Lots of options, but in the current state I wouldn't build anything in a system you really want to develop and don't just use as a testbed. It's a gamble whether or not stuff you errect counts for anything. More likely than not you'll end up with a number of poop farms.

1) There appear to be some significant bugs with facilities coming online properly at the moment. Until Frontier fixes them any build has a high chance of not working. Hopefully everything currently in this state will activate eventually but it might be a long wait.

2) Frontier have threatened to change how economic influence works. Almost all of the ways they could do this would be retrospectively incompatible with at least some existing system designs and any advice you might be given now. Any build before they either make that change or confirm that they won't might end up very different later.

You've got the system, it won't go off, come back in a month or so to see if the situation has improved.

You could try making one or both of the tier 1 surface ports with predetermined economies - Industry or High-Tech, though at present it's unclear you'll get any construction materials from them before Frontier has fixed things server-side. Preferably make those where you're not intending to build other economies, as mixing economies has led to below-average results in the past (Industry + Refinery is one combination which did not impress).
