Now would be a good time for concept art for the next big feature

Back in August 2015 FD teased the Horizons expansion with various concept art shots. I believe now would really be a good time to show off something about the upcoming 3.x stuff. We know it's (sadly) not going to be space legs, so atmospheric planets are more likely... but anyway, some hints would be really good. I admit getting new weapons to eventually fight thargoids doesn't sound particularly exciting to me.

So with the Horizon season of expansions coming to a close, what is beyond 2.4 I hear you ask? Well, it certainly isn’t the end of this amazing journey… we’re only just getting started!

Our awesome dev team are dedicated to continuing to build and improve the Elite Dangerous experience with an exciting long term vision in mind. We’re happy to be able to confirm that the next major updates following 2.4 will focus on core gameplay, existing features, quality of life and other improvements! We’re delighted to be investing a considerable amount of development and effort into making the core gameplay experience even better for our fantastic community or players.

We’ll be sharing more news on that content and our roadmap at a very special event coming later in the year - more details on this event will be released in the weeks after E3.

Can still show concept art, or more likely, development images, for the new core improvements.

They showed things to do with the salvage stuff for instance.

They could start showing the new awesome scanning stuff they better be implementing now please!

I think Bo said on one of the Twitch livestreams that Frontier won't be showing new stuff on Gamescom, so 3.0 is probably a bit further than Horizons was 2 years ago.

My kid likes the idea that the Alliance should have some kind of mega trade ship with a ridiculous cargo capacity.
Like 4000 tons or something.
He drew this back when my "big ship" was a Clipper, and you can see a couple on there for scale.

Oh and it is still surprisingly maneuverable because it has thrusters on the wing tips.

Definitely looks imperial with those pylons. And ....... it has a raider ship kit ! That's a real concept art piece [yesnod]

Sure about that?

Even a brief glimpse of anything they're working on will only lead to threads and threads with people theory crafting anything and everything.

When none of them come to fruition it'll only lead to thread after thread about how Frontier lied to them.
