Or any of these...
  1. You're mine now, Commander.
  2. The scan will soon be over.
  3. No cargo? Useless dreg.
  4. There's no escape!
  5. I've found my next target and it's you, Commander.
  6. Make it easy on yourself and submit.
  7. I hope you have something good in your hold.
  8. Give me 1t of cargo if you want to live.
  9. In 15 seconds, I'm going to start boiling bulkheads off you.
  10. I'll pick your bones clean, greenhorn.
  11. This can all stop if you just give me 1t of cargo.
  12. Nothing for me here.
  13. You have no chance now.
  14. Let's see what you are carrying.
  15. Well hello there!
  16. You choose death then. Very well.
  17. I can't believe that worked! Get 'em, boys!
  18. Peacemakers - damn!
  19. Prepare yourself!
  20. Your end is nigh.
  21. Bah, nothing.
  22. Time for me to leave.
  23. I will end you!
  24. Now you die, victim.
  25. I'm coming for you!
  26. I'm out of here.
  27. I'm gonna boil you up!
  28. Fear me!
  29. Do you have anything of value?
  30. Hostiles, great.
  31. This isn't my time to die!
  32. Look what we found. Payday is here!
  33. What treats do you carry?
  34. Hostile ships on the scanner.
  35. I have you now!
  36. What do you carry, I wonder?
  37. What are you hauling?
  38. Carrying anything nice?
  39. Let me see what you have.
  40. A wasted effort. There's no cargo here.
  41. There's nothing worth my while here.
  42. Another empty cargo hold. My children will go hungry tonight.
  43. Next time you should fill your hold with gold.
  44. No cargo? Waste of time...
  45. What do you have in your cargo hold?
  46. I'm not dying today!
  47. The rumour was right... good job I found you first.
  48. I've come a long way for what's in your hold, don't try to run!
  49. Big haul like that, surprised you made it this far.
  50. I knew I'd find you eventually, all that tasty cargo!
  51. I'll give you 10 seconds to jettison something good.
  52. Get back here! I'm not done with you yet!
  53. Give me 2t of that Gold you're carrying if you want to live.
  54. Start dumping that cargo. I'll give you... 15 seconds before I start shooting.
  55. Urgent repairs needed and then I will hunt you down, Commander.
  56. Watch it pal, this is our haul! Just be on your way and don't try anything stupid.
  57. You've got 15 seconds before this gets real interesting.
  58. This can all stop if you just give me 1t of Basic Medicines.
  59. Pulling me down was an error in judgement on your part.
  60. Prepare for death, fool!
  61. Another dream of riches dashed.
  62. I'm just passing through.
  63. I'm coming for you.
  64. Another dud? Damn it all!
  65. Hahahahaha!
  66. Thanks for dropping by.
  67. If you're looking for an easy kill then you've made a big mistake.
  68. Die!
  69. I see all!
  70. Prepare to hand over your cargo.
  71. Prepare to pay up!
  72. You will keep your life if you hand over any valuable cargo you have.
  73. Must... escape!
  74. Judgement time!
  75. I hope my reputation precedes me.
  76. I have you in my sights.
  77. You've made your last jump, space dust.
  78. And now you have my attention, what will you do?
  79. There will be no escape for you.
  80. All who pass through must pay me fealty.
  81. Woah! The mother lode! Gimme your cargo.
  82. Don't worry...
  83. Do you know who I am?
  84. Die now, wretch!
  85. No system is beyond my grasp.
  86. Screw this!
  87. Give me 8,500 Cr worth of cargo if you want to live.
  88. This can all stop if you just give me 8,500 Cr worth of cargo.
  89. Hostiles - just what I needed.
  90. I don't think you realise who you're messing with.
  91. Things just got a bit more complicated.
  92. I will fight another day.
  93. Your doom approaches.
  94. You ain't no law! You look more like wreckage waitin' to happen, you dog!
  95. You want a piece of me?
  96. No, help!
  97. I am wanted, but never taken.
  98. What do you bring before the pirate lord?
  99. To succumb to my power is nothing to be ashamed of.
  100. I consign your remains to the void.
  101. My legacy will echo among the stars.
  102. You are about to meet your end.
  103. Didn't mean to bother you.
  104. How do you fools make a living?
  105. You have 10 seconds to comply.
  106. Hey, where are you going!
  107. How did you make it this far?! That's a loot haul worth the price.
  108. I'm willing to take you on for what you have in your hold.
  109. You have just made a big mistake.
  110. That's the ship I'm looking for, the one with the big haul...
  111. Did I say you could leave?
  112. Trying to run? You should have just given me the cargo!
  113. Let's see what we have here.
  114. Too much damage. Must escape.
  115. I'm not here for your amusement.
  116. Part of me was hoping you'd run!
  117. They told me these lanes were good, where's all the big fish?
  118. I will return another day.
  119. I'm here for the cargo. Nothing else.
  120. This will spice things up.
  121. Just the cargo I was looking for.
  122. Hostile targets in range.
  123. You face a glorious death at my hands.
  124. Empty your cargo hold and everything will be fine.
  125. I hope you have prepared for this encounter.
  126. Fate has brought us together.
  127. Everybody keep cool - this will end well for us.
  128. I'm not so much running as rescheduling this fight.
  129. Another small fish. Where are the real scores?
  130. You look like a fish worth landing.
  131. That's some tasty cargo you have there, can I have it?
  132. You chose wisely.
  133. You are a score worth taking.
  134. Keep dumping cargo, victim!
  135. You have more than that - I know it!
  136. More!
  137. A nice start, but not enough.
  138. A successful endeavour.
  139. This is not the end!
  140. This isn't worth dying for.
  141. Oh, so you think you can take me?
  142. I'm not saying that you're better than me, but I have to be elsewhere.
  143. Enemy ships detected.
  144. There's nothing but slim pickings around here.
  145. So you have chosen that this day will be your last.
  146. Hostiles? The hits just keep on coming.
  147. You should have left while you had the chance!
  148. This will not end well for you.
  149. The master is here.
  150. You are nothing but dust to me.
  151. I am here. Soon you will not be.
  152. The law, not good.
  153. You perish now, at the hands of a pirate lord.
  154. You face your end now.
  155. You have something that I want.
  156. The bigger they are, the bigger the haul.
  157. I am invincible.
  158. You're really not worth my time. Leave. Now!
  159. Hostiles in view - prepare to engage.
  160. This region is part of my domain.
  161. Damn!
  162. There's nothing of value for me here.
  163. How do I keep picking the bad ones? Too little to bother.
  164. This does not end here.
  165. Fools.
  166. You're not worth bothering with.
  167. I will not die today.
  168. This is not the end.
  169. Authority ships detected.
  170. Watch out - the law is here!
  171. Poor excuse for a trader, you're not worth it.
  172. We might have a misunderstanding here. I'll go on my way.
  173. You saw sense and gave me what I wanted.
  174. Back off, scum.
  175. From the looks of you, I think I'm just gonna leave it.
  176. Your cargo is worth a small fortune to me, give it to me. Now.
  177. Please, if we had anything to spare, we would hand it over! We swear it!
  178. Attention Passengers, this is your Captain speaking. We're currently at an impasse with some pirates. There is no need to be alarmed.
  179. It surprises me that people don't learn to keep away.
  180. Bravery and stupidity are often the same thing.
  181. You are a bigger fool than I thought.
  182. Authority vessels. How quaint.
  183. Those who don't pay me tribute are destroyed.
  184. I almost feel pity for you.
  185. There goes plan A.
  186. My mistake. I thought you were someone else.
  187. I cannot believe you have bested me.
  188. There will be no law here.
  189. Out here, I am the law.
  190. The law!
  191. I cannot be destroyed.
  192. I will allow you this one, small victory.
  193. I must reconsider my options.
  194. Attention Passengers, this is your Captain speaking. We're currently at an impasse with some pirates. Everything is under control.
  195. I was thinking about getting out of this game anyway...
  196. Woah there big guy, I wasn't hurtin' nobody.
  197. I don't want no trouble, it's obvious you're someone who can handle themselves.
  198. You challenge me?
  199. I am not impressed.
  200. I recognise no authority.
  201. You made the right choice.
  202. Do not test me.
  203. Hostiles? Fools.
  204. I will boil my foes.
  205. Things just got interesting.
  206. Hello credits!
  207. Scanners are for the weak! Time to die!
  208. Today is my lucky day.
  209. I was just looking for something to kill and look what turned up.
  210. I don't need a scanner, I got a good feeling about this. Drop whatever's in your hold!
  211. I'm not one for scans or nuthin'. I'll kill you and scoop up what's left.
  212. I'm a bit rushed for time, so if you could just drop whatever you have...
  213. Let's not waste time. You're mine.
  214. Dump your cargo while you still can.
  215. System authority ships on my scanner.
  216. There's no time for messing about. Drop your cargo and let's get this over with.
  217. Make way for the master.
  218. You have to make it worth my while.
Voice acted then we can have npc audio in our ships...

What's up with the obnoxious NPC behaviours whenever you get near them?

They keep spamming phrases like "Don't stand so close!" and "No need to stand so close!" when you're still over 5m away from them.
And when you stand near them for more than 10 seconds they always say "Now you're just being wierd" and "You're odd". And the guards say "Out of my way!".
They sure need far more variety in what they can say.

Also why do they always wear face covers, often that yellow chinese hat and gasmask while inside buildings?
They react this way simply because of the linear way in which Human NPC's were implemented according to the gameplay the designer intended. It was under the assumption most people would be coming to steal, assassinate or destroy the settlements as bad guys. Because the lead designer for odyssey apparently liked very simple, old games that lacked any sense of nuisance or maturity. They didn't have the foresight to plan for nice players exploring or use any basic checks to try to modify these lines depending on the actions or relationship of the player

In space, the reason everyone is nice to you at stations is because you can't kill them. In odyssey settlements you can, so they assume before hand you will. A symptom of poor execution and planning of NPC state & dialog design. They could of at least looked at faction relationship and adjusted lines or current mission or suit type selected and changed lines according to player mission type so that simple explorers and people on transport missions would not be assumed to be covert spies, murders and assassins lol.

Where/how did you find the glorious treasure trove?? I'd also love to have all recorded background dialog that can be heard. I can't make out most of what's being said due to being cut off or drowned in the noise.
