Hi, I was on a mission and I checked out a unknown contact and the NPC commander asked me if I was carrying goods for that mission. I could answer back. How can you contact the NPC Commander. Version Gamma 1.05

Check your "transactions" tab on the left panel. You can chose to abandon your current mission and transport the goods elsewhere.

AFAIK, you can't. The NPC will offer you an alternative. You can't accept it or refuse it, you simply fulfill one option or the other. It's a bit pants, and a bit bugged. Now, when I'm doing those missions, I don't stop at USS cos I've had quite a few quests break.
