NPC Crew

I'd like to see this expansion on NPC Crew-

Basically how ever many "seats" your ship has for Multi-crew is how many NPC crewmembers you can take aboard. The new crewmembers would add an extra, un-movable pip to their designated system.

System crewmember- 1 pip in sys
Engines crewmember- 1 pip in eng
Weapons crewmember- 1 pip in wep

You can hire one of each, or have two SLF fighter pilots. Or one SLF pilot and one other.

SLF pilots remain the same progression and income-wise.

Pip crewmembers all start out taking 15% of your income, and drop down to 10% after a certain number of hours reached playing with them. 1% at a time.

Pip crewmembers will be visible (in chairs). They will die just like SLF pilots if the mother ship is blown up.

Can I have an extra pip for 15% of my income, but not have another crew member?
I like being a solo pilot and my Sidewinder agrees.

Well, no :( lol. You have a single person ship. This is for ships with the ability to hire crewmembers:) ships like the cobra III with seats, but no SLF could absolutely use the feature for additional crew though.

I think that your propsal is affecting the ship modules algorithm. But I'm not a programmer so maybe I'm wrong.

Doubt it would affect a "ship module algorithm". Multicrew already gives you an extra pip.

Soooo, big ships get even more over-powered compared to small ones.

Balance? What's that? Lol. This game will never be balanced. The difference in the ships is one of the things that makes this game fun for me. A Corvette and a sidewinder will never be balanced, as it should be.

But a cobra IV with 4 pips in sys and 3 in eng might be able to survive and run away :) There are a bunch of ships that have extra seats, but no SLF. And every ship that has extra seats has them empty. I'm just trying to get some seat-filler's really haha.
 
I just want to see NPCs in the seats - I don't like the additional pips but I don't like that with the multi-player thing anyway, but if that is the price to pay for having Kaylee or 7of9 on my bridge - make it so!
