Mine is now hot and had her crooked mouth removed and skin laser treated.
The "upgrade" is mostly a graphical downgrade with less details as I already wrote.
Here is a comparison of my three girls from 2.2 and 2.3:
As you see left is old 2.2, new 2.3 is right, and way less details and lowres in thumbnail and main picture, nearly no contour/surface/edging... (yes I have ultra quality graphics setting enabled)
It's smoother, right, but way too much anime/animated for me...

I was looking to reduce my profit share, and to increase my "crew lost" statistic from 0 to 1. Ugly stick did the deciding on who of the 3 pilots that was gonna be.
Ok, maybe it was personal, she was the only pilot that kept telling me if I had a problem with her I better say so.

personal taste I guess but I think the npcs look better on all 3 counts with the image on the right
I was one of many who reported this in the beta bug report section, back in beta 1. At most, they changed my NPCs hairstyle and skin tone back, but stopped there. It's a good measure of FDev's apathy towards anything they don't consider "game-breaking".
Some game companies simply aren't very good at NPC character design, and I'm pretty sure FDev is one of those. No offense to the devs, but all their NPC characters look like middle-aged meth addicts. I guess whoever designed the Powerplay characters got fired the next day, since they actually look human.

I`ve been seeing even more of what can only be called butch experienced boxing men in wigs that insist they`re female. All that boxing really does addle the brain!
