NPC gratitude?

It's not exactly game-breaking, but maybe just once, after I've swooped into some USS and saved some type 6's as* from 6 pirate eagles, they might say thank you or well, something! Is it too much to ask? ;/

I would love to see some gratitude but hey i came to kill pirates and collect bounties, sure it'd be great to get maybe a small semblence of gratitude but i still get what i came for so I can live without it. I wonder if they might be carrying illegal cargo and just want to get out of there before i find out?

I am glad to see someone else sharing my feelings about this.
I meant to breach the topic myself, but forgot all about it.
It seems such a small thing, but I believe this kind of recognition would have a good influence on the game.

There are already some nice little touches in the game as far as npc comms are concerned.
When I did combat with a pirate the other day my lasers grazed an innocent trader and he said "Hey, I'm flying here!" without turning hostile.
I really appreciate stuff like that.

Phew... I knew the answer to that since I watched Terminator years ago, and cmdr pirates are finished puzzle few months ago.
He couldnt thank you beacuse we as lowly organics are not worthy such recognition, anyway he was communicating with their HQ

".... I was about to have amazing interaction with six very hot Eagles when this brute appeared and murdered them, send help ...."

You didnt save T6, you broke his immersion and chance for meaningful interaction.

Yeah, it will be nice when NPCs become more interactive. As it is I just use my

I agree with the OP. I'd like to see also my name "Greeting respected ally Commander XXXX' by the station. And I'd like to see the feds say the same "thanks for your cooperation commander XXXX" after you let them scan you, or after you pull the heat off one of them until the big guns arrive.
