NPC griefing

Dear FD!

If you think that police NPCs near station and in RES sites grief players by collisioning ships and going straight to the line of fire is FUN, then please consider it WRONG!
The thing, that some megaships and other building entry point so close, that ships almost smashing on them also a game content, then i have to inform you, you are also WRONG.

Please hire some more intelligent AI for them! If it is not made by intension, then please correct it!

Dev safe....

Scan ramming is a known bug. We've had a far worse version before. This iteration of it isn't so bad.

However, you shooting at the wrong thing is entirely your fault.
Those shooty boom boom things you fit to your ship, to blow up other ships, are called weapons. Weapons are dangerous when handled incorrectly.
So, in fact, you are wrong. :p

I'm sure FD could program the NPC's to avoid lines of fire extremely effectively, with inhuman abilities to detect it from all angles.
However, there's two problems with doing that. The first problem is, if they're so good at dodging fire, how are we actually supposed to hit them when we want to? Do the magically forget how to dodge once we target them?
Secondly, why would FD even bother to spend resources coding the AI, when it's actually the players job to shoot the right thing?

You only need to master 2 skills.
Situational awareness. It's a skill that should be learned, and it can be applied to things real life. Use all the information given to track what's going on. You have sound, the scanner, you can look around your cockpit, etc.
The other skill is trigger discipline.
The trigger has the really cool function after you press it down, which is the ability to be released again, with minimal effort. If something you don't want to shoot is in the way of something you do want to shoot, let go of the trigger. It's that simple.
