NPC mass lack immunity bonus?

I'm sure I'm just imagining this but does mass lock not affect NPC's?

I don't mind getting the wingmates "frame shift charge dectected" after you've vapourised his mate...

...but I don't mind him being able to jump away in a Sidewinder when I'm less than a 100m behind him in a Fer-de-lance!

Don't worry, it's being fixed in 1.3, due next week or so. :)

Funny you mention that OP. Yesterday i was shooting an NPC Python in an Eagle and he was running away. This let me target the FSD to make sure he can't run away, because i didn't had enough DPS to shoot him before warp. I shot down the FSD to 0%, but he still used his broken FSD to get away. Shooting the normal drive seems to work normally though so he can't get enough speed. I wonder if this is a bug or intentional. It was a nice long fight, but it had me slightly tfw'd.

Care to share that in the patch notes? because I certainly don't see it mentioned that Mass Lock for NPC's is fixed/added here : https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=147485

It may not be in the patch notes, but I do remember hearing a dev announce it and I have had the experience my self while in beta. NPCs do not engage FSD before the cooldown and take ages to jump away when I am mass-locking them - as it should be.

That's a bug, I believe that also will be fixed in 1.3, but am not sure.
