NPC piracy (low temp diamond farming.)

so im just posting this to ask, whats the best way now to get low temp diamonds out of NPC's? even with theyre power plant shot to oblivion, they still manage to fly around and shoot forever. if i kill theyre drives, they drift endlessly and spin making the hatch breakers not lock on.

does anyone have any ideas on what i could do? been doing this for a few months and these are the first issues im having. mainly the power plant stuff. although i think that was an intended change.

ill try it, im using a python right now i do need better shields tho, i can get prismatics i just need the merit stuff for alsing. that doesnt stop them from running though or when i would shoot out theyre engines they will spin out of control. its hard to get close enough to have my drones pick stuff up without dying. but ill try it for sure if it works for you.
