The NPC's in this are just stupid. I'm playing a defenceless merchant at the moment and still turning a good profit after the odd interdiction, even death. When I get interdicted I do start dropping cargo (its more profitable than dying). Very occasionally some NPCs demand my cargo but don't even give me chance, they destroy me in seconds before I've had any chance to give up cargo beyond one or two canisters. What is the f[/COLOR]
king point in that? The NPC doesn't get my cargo if it destroys me and I'm not wanted so there is no bounty! And it would actually cost the NPC when it comes to reloading ammunition.
Its annoying that you can't even attempt to buy your way out of an NPC pirate encounter especially when it should be in the pirate's interest to receive cargo rather than destroy you (and your cargo).
