NPC seem to be having a brain fade?

I keep seeing them take off from the Landing Pads, then just hanging there until they get killed.

Happend many times, at several stations, 4-5 NPC at each. Also seen NPC's just sat dead in space.

May be the Cerberus Plague is hitting them too!? :D

Would you believe it's better then it was pre Power play. Every station I use to fly to would have at least one useless NPC just doing barrel roles while they slowly drift into a wall but mostly the mail slot though until the station decides that loitering is the worst crime in the galaxy and sentences them to oblivion. They really should have fixed stuff like this before they implemented the anti ramming policy.

Is that still happening?
I have not seen that anymore since 1.3.
The npc I see act very competent and take off and land like real pros.
Before 1.3 I saw what you described all the time.

I once saw an NPC Conda and T7 in the mail slot. Or rather, in those metal rungs just outside of it. The Conda had somehow managed to get itself wedged through them, and the T7 was just idly pushing its nose into the 'Conda, running its thrusters. Sitting there, grinding, grinding, grinding. I was flying my Clipper at the time, and somehow managed to squeeze in past them. The station opened fire on both as I landed.

To be fair players do the same thing, as several 'whaaah lost my Conda' threads here prove.

Well it is far better then it was. But it still is pretty common. I had a unshielded hauler last week doing barrel roles pop up right on the inside of the mail slot as I entered in my Anaconda full of gold with D thrusters, Needless to say by the time it was visible it was far to late I bumped it slightly it flew into a wall and blew up and the station didn't take kindly. 18 mill down the drain to one of the glitched NPC's . But on the other hand I find it quite humorous

Internal security forces attacking each other after friendly fire at a RES. It's even more fun to watch when there are a couple of anacondas around.

Yeah, I've somehow never had that happen yet.
Well to be fair it has only happend to me once in the over 2 k times I have docked so it is pretty rare. I just thought it was funny and possibly by posting the story I can help someone avoid making the same mistake. Because not everyone would take it as well since I was in the last 10% of tycoon rank when it happend.

NPCs have always gotten themselves blown up in stations in droves. This is not new.

I know - but tonight they aren't getting jammed in the exit, or any tangible reason to get stuck. They just lift off 50 meters from the Pad and wait to die.

And this is every NPC, not just the odd one.

Yeah, I've somehow never had that happen yet.

You ask me, they want to keep the ramming bounties set up the way they are, they really need to turn off the station's insta-kill response. Deny you docking, yes; boot you out, and the cops shoot you as you fly off, but leave station insta-kills for people who loiter, or actually fire weapons.

Well I love the harshness of the galaxy. I think the station should shoot you for more reasons, like being wanted, smuggling, and being hostile. I think a good solution would be to remove speeding penalties against NPCs. I loved ramming haulers in my T9.
