NPC System Authority getting in the way

Getting so sick of Authority ships getting in the way when bounty hunting. Suddenly your wanted and need to get out of the RES and wait 10 minutes... (10 MINUTES!!! What the ???) before you can go back and continue bounty hunting. Sometimes you don't have time to react to an Authority ship flying in between you and your target. Is there no way to have them recognize an accidental attack over a deliberate one? Why should we pay for the stupidity of NPC pilots getting in our way? It's not like i had the NPC targeted when when he got shot... and he crossed straight through my beam lasers like he didn't even see them. This needs to change in one of the quality of life updates.

This situation has been asked to change so many many times and nothing as ever been done about it !

The solution would be to increase a little the number of fire on someone to make you wanted.
If you are allied it could be even be longer so people go bounty hunt in an allied system for convenience.

Could be worse; I grazed the shields of some guy the authority were already in the process of killing and when he popped they did me for murder. [haha]

But yeah, it needs addressing, has needed addressing for a long while now. Maybe someday...

I get the distinct impression that some of you commanders are getting all up into the tailpipe of the targets and causing yourselves this sort of grief.

I agree that it should be tweaked more, but I have a suggestion in the meantime.... Fly like a pilot in an air superiority fighter (guns & missiles/missile racks). Keep your distance to fully utilize your missiles without getting all up close & personal with your guns. In keeping your distance you can assess the battle field between killing your target as well as track the system authority vessels so that you don't incur their wrath in getting a mark on your head and being hunted as well.

To date doing this, I have not gotten a mark against me from the local authorities and don't end up being blackballed from the res/combat sites.

Good luck.

Not getting all up in the tailpipe of my target at all... the distance I'm shooting at has no baring on this situation, it's the stupid NPC authority ships attacking my target and flying between me and said target. If they accidentally hit me they don't get a bounty and neither should I for accidentally hitting them for their own dumb- mistake. If i fly in front of their target i have to take it on the chin and the same should be said of them. Its not like 1 seconds worth of my beam lasers hitting an anaconda's shields are going to cause the pilot any major problems. Maybe a warning system could be put in place to add immersion as well. "Pilot, watch your fire!" or something like that... if it happens again in say the next 30 seconds then you get a bounty

I like the idea of more leniency for allied ships as well
