NPCS are now a way too easy to beat

I understand many found the new 2.1 npcs too hard but now come on, it's like fighting 2.0 npcs , don't you think the difficulty level should be brought back to the initial 2.1 or at least a difficulty between now and initial 2.1 ?

People really should start to mention their own ship, enemy ship, load out and NPC rank. Otherwise all comments on this topic are pointless.

Have a rep. This is a game of almost infinite combinations. Add in player skill too and baby, you got a stew going.

What do you mean? NPCs are too easy now, they are similar to 2.0, difficulty level should be enough to give you a challange and reasonable risk, as they are now they are back to the dumb npcs we had before 2.1
 
I'm flying a mid-lightweight Courier with performance enhanced drives. I can usually still outmaneuver enemies but I have to work a lot harder at it and if I slip up I'm likely to eat a face full of railgun.

In my playing I haven't noticed any difference between "initial" 2.1 release and now.

Overall the AI is definitely tougher, although they seem to lack "imagination" and don't switch tactcs even when what they're doing is clearly not working (e.g. I've been stuck to their tail hammering them for 3 minutes but they keep trying to do the same turn+reverse to face me).
