i recon that he's trying to realign the orbit of the moon. It reminds me of that old Frank Sinatra sing "High Hopes"..

Or it could just be that he's overdue for his pilot's medical sight test...

I once come across an Orca nose down towards a moon at an angle of about 70degrees, stopped about 20m from the surface. Engines off - just hanging there... Goodness knows what the passengers were thinking of that!
