NS supercharging and jump range question

Today I found an area with a few NS. I decided to use them for boosting to the next systems. To my surprise I was only getting ~60ly jump from them! I am flying an AspX with a jump range of 49.5ly so getting a boosted jump of only 60ly SUCKS! Is something wrong?
I am doing the boost just like I have all the others: fly into the cones and wait for it to say the drive is supercharged and then I plot my course. I did not have this problem on my first leg of the journey. I was getting ~100ly boosted jumps on the way out. Now on the way back, not so much! I have tried it with almost full fuel tanks and less than half full with the same results.

What is going on??

Look at your right hand functions panel to see your current actual jump range. Make sure it says 4x your normal range when boosted.
Follow link for a picture. The first number is your actual current jump range, the second number [in brackets] is your max range with no cargo and only enough fuel to make one jump.

If your range is 49.5ly normally on a full tank, your boosted range (from a Neutron Star) should be at least 198ly
A 100ly boosted range implies a base range of only 25ly.

A couple of possibilities come to mind...
When manually jumping with a boosted jump range, you don't want to plot the course, you just want to select a star at or close to the range you have and then jump..
Plotting will only use your range with a full tank, but simply selecting and jumping without clicking the plot button, will use your actual current range shown on the functions panel.

Unless you have selected the "use jet cone boost" option on your course plotter, it won't consider your boosted range when plotting. (I think)

White dwarfs only provide a 50% boost to jump range.
That would be ~74.25ly given a base range of 49.5ly
or ~60ly if your full tank range is closer to 40ly and that 49.5ly range is your max range with an empty tank.

Is the cargo slider on your course plotter options set to calculate with cargo?
Is your course plotter option set to fasest instead of economic?

There is nothing wrong with plotting the boosted jump for manual jumps, unless you want to use range with a less than full tank. In that case it won't plot anyway. So plot away there is nothing wrong with that.

From your description it sounds like you supercharged from a white dwarf, instead of a neutron star. I've never seen NS supercharges go wrong but I also avoid white dwarves as the boost is not very good and the larger exclusion zone makes them very dangerous for people like me who carry lots of data.

None of my attempts were from WD. With the help from Major Kultz, I figured out that it was not checking the Use Jet-Cone Boost option. Instead it was checking the FSD Boost and no boost amount. So now every time I do a NS boost I have to go in and check the Fastest Route and Use Jet-Cone Boost and then go to the Galactic Map and find a star near 200Ly away.

You would think that the game would automatically check the Use Jet-Cone Boost every time you Supercharge your FSD!

Anyways thank you all and especially Major Klutz for the winning answer!

I just leave the use jet cone boost option on all the time. The only drawback to having it on is it will try to route you through nearby NS systems and if you happen pass through a NS system but don't want to supercharge you have to turn it off and re-plot.
