Nuke-n-pave, going back to basics!

I was one of those affected by the server troubles over the weekend, but with a positive effect of unexpectedly gaining 488,000 CR rather than losing anything. Not a lot to many, but as a casual trader with a Adder running 16T loads between a small selection of systems, this was significantly more than I had ever had so far. I was working towards a Cobra, with 98,500 CR as my working balance.

Suddenly a weird set of market glitches, that we are all now familiar with, and I instantly had enough for the Cobra. Well, to me that was a weird thing. I was happy just trucking along, and suddenly I had the cash to bypass the grind. What to do? Well I could have taken the credits and say nothing more, and indeed very tempting. Why am I even writing this post? :)

Well I had a little fun experimenting and testing out a Hauler, Viper, and then a Cobra. Ships I had not previously used. Good fun to test drive, but getting them through easy unearned means did not sit well (a trader giving up free credits? crazy ...).

Decided it was time to go back to basics and wipe it all away!

Ahh, the sweet smell of home. Time to start all over and earn my way back to riches.

Time to go back in the big bad ol' galaxy all fresh eyed and innocent like ...

+1 rep for great gameplay. Look for me in-game under the same name, and I'll drop you some great cargo to help you along.

I was thinking about what I would do, I would probably keep the money and use it to test things people couldn't do. I don't think i'd feel too comfortable with it either so +1 to that!

I've done that from time to time, including going all the way to 100 cr, despite my Kickstarter start rewards. I've often found the early parts of a game, where you're struggling to make ends meet, are much more fun than later parts of a game.

+1 to you!
