Hardware & Technical NVidia Driver Status - is 384.76 trouble-free?

I tend to stick to a reliable and stable video driver for a good length of time (still running 376.33). However I have been lured by the Oculus sale to delve into the experience that is VR. Therefore I suppose I ought to update my 1070's driver before the parcel (hopefully) arrives on Saturday.

My question then: is NVidia Driver 384.76 trouble-free?

Supplementary question, I usually don't install GEForceExperience (I hate unnecessary processes running) - is this needed for using the Rift?

if your going to try them out i would suggesty you install the hotfix driver - http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/geforce-384-80-driver-download.html 384.80

on Ocuk forums its a mixed bag, seems if you can get your current driver removed cleanly and install the new driver they are running well.
Some who have updated to them via the install over the top route seem to have had more issues, a lot of people suggest using DDU and then install new driver, may work better for some.
