Thanks, i'm using the 353.06 driver and have no problems. But i'll wait too.

Looks like NVIDIA screwed up big-time now. :eek:

I'm using latest drivers, I've had no issues*.

*I did have sensor tracking stutter in extended mode, though I don't know if that was driver-related. I just came back to the game after a few months of absence and first updated to the 6.0.0 SDK, then rolled back to 5.0.1 SDK trying to figure out how to get Oculus working again. I don't know what I did, I think disabling nVidia colour adjustments that had initially been suggested in the nVidia Oculus set-up thread might have fixed it. And the fact that that broke it miiiiight be because of the new driver, I guess? But anyway, it's all fine now and I'm running 353.06.

Just had the best experience with ED... Under nvidia control panel. Just used the default settings "let the 3D application decide". Ran elite in extended mode as usual with all settings maxed at DSR x2 with the oculus quality slider at just over half. In station was brilliant with awesome motion. No juddering or anything.

I have been using the Settings described a few threads up regarding optimizing the rift. I have not been using sweet fx but have used the custom resolutions to increase the resolutions like DSR. I have not tried the nvidia DSR yet. Why ruin a great thing right?

Currently using extended mode in SLI'd 970 and the very latest 353.38 driver... Go to the nvidia website as their is a hot fix driver due to probs with CHROME browser. (direct mode seems to work well without SLI being enabled and it is a huge improvement as far as readability of text over previous drivers)


Anyone else able to duplicate using nvidia control panel settings as described above (ie absolute default settings when driver is first loaded without manually changing anything)? I would like to know that I didn't just get lucky. As it was I only found the improvement by loading ED immediately after installing new drivers and rebooting. Life is sweet!!!

I hope the rest of you have as much success. We may have been fighting the graphics settings for too long. Hopefully next patches don't make us revert back to tweaking settings in control panel and in game settings again.

Using 0601 runtime btw.

I changed both drivers at the same time as upgrading my gpu, so can't really say except for that it's all running really well, sorry. I'm using extended mode.

I can't install 6, keeps telling my I need a MS hotfix but its already installed and I can't uninstall or reinstall it. Anyone had/fixed this?

Hey y'alls, I have a crash to desktop problem with 353.30 that's pretty repeatable and consistent. When I've been in a ring system for awhile and jump to super cruise, after a set amount of time the graphics driver seems to bug out and the game acts like it's alt-tabbing back and forth until I kill it via the task manager.

I'm going to downgrade to 353.06

no problems here, 353.06 and 0.5.0.1 works fine. had to set the driver settings back after last update. restarted, set them manually as before, works again.
