As I can't buy and don't need justification to upgrade GPU, I am happy for them to push out newer and newer cards. Also it is good to see prices are back to sensible levels after crypto craze.

What? The 2070 is priced just under what I paid for a 1080Ti during the peak of the crypto prices.

Aftermarket RTX 2080Ti's are from 1000 to 1400 Euros (Asus). Very sensible.

Sensible prices?? The 2080Ti is more expensive than an aftermarket 1080ti was at the height of the mining craze, and not that far away from being double what a 1080ti currently costs.

1080TI should not cost more than 400 euros.

Resist. IMO right now from info we have it's simply not worth the price compared to 10 series. Until ray tracing becomes mainstream you are stuck with slightly more powerful 10 series. That is about 40% more expensive, and more power hungry.

I personally think that the current pre-order pricing:

Is way too expensive... Unless something changes with regards to the pricing (ie the price of a 1080Ti drops), I will be staying with my 980Ti for a while longer....
