Nvidia SLI for the Rift

Sorry if this has been asked before but I did not find it in my searches...

I have 2x 980Ti in SLI. Is is possible to setup the Oculus so that the two 'screens' each have their own 980Ti driving them.

I read some articles about Direct VR by Nvidia suggesting this was possible but not sure if this is implemented yet?

If not, what is the best way to configure my setup to get the best performance?

Thanks!

Sorry to disappoint you, but SLI is not supported for the Rift in Elite Dangerous. I dont know, how it is for other titles.
However, i can tell you, that you must plug the Rift into the primary card, otherwise it wont work at all. You will get audio, but no video signal.
But there are many threads here already, that go deeper into this thing. I hope, i could help anyways.

I believe nvidia only released an sli api this summer.
And this api need to be implemented on a per title basis by the developers and probably mean a lot of rewriting of the rendering pipeline.

It will probably be implemented but I wouldn't expect anything any time soon.

the solution you're referring to is nvidia's Gamerworks VR.. I have had elite working in SLi before but not in the configuration you're describing.
