Elite: Dangerous: 418 hours, since July 2019, still going strong

Clocking at around 2000 hours myself, no other game comes even close, across various platforms and throughout 30+ years of gaming.

Bit of a caveat though, a good chunk of that time was spent sitting in front of screen bored of staring down a timer or loading screen.

But I still come back to it almost daily, I can't quite tell why at this stage as I've done and seen the majority of what the game has on offer. In theory, I should've moved on ages ago.

So.... that's your top 50 Steam games? Nice!

;)

...grabs calculator...

418hrs is a great start - I'm over 6000 myself (since beta), and I know of others with a lot more...

I'm at 2190 hour in 11 months.
Still going strong.

But i usually focus on a single game, rarely play other things except the main game and if it's happening it comes down to sessions not lasting more than a couple hours.
And ED is only starting for me.
I played Dark Age of Camelot for 7 strong years. I still consider it the best mmo pvp (rvr) game ever.

Minecraft isn't on Steam.

Just saying... ;)

I've got a few hours in Minecraft, but nowhere near enough to make a difference.

Does Steam count when ED is alt-tab in the background and I'm here on the forums instead?

This forum is objectively the best game IMO (grammatical irony intended).

I believe Steam counts all the time the launcher is up. That might take 50 hours off me, but no more. I usually shut it down when I'm finished playing.

Deus Ex Mankind Divided - 200 hours.
Elder Scrolls/Skyrim - 307 hours.
Euro Truck Sim 2 - 94 hours.
Elite Dangerous - 528 hours.
Fallout 4 - 1033 hours
Farm Sim 17 - 147 Hours
Train Simulator (aka Railworks) - 2382 hours! (Most of that trying to build routes though).
X3 Terran Conflict - 240 hours.
X-Rebirth - 158 hours.

Above list does not include non Steam games like the Mass Effect series (played through several times), GTA San Andreas and GTA V or other older games. Of course much of the time in ED spent hop skip and jump on exploration to Beagle Point etc. However discounting the train sim, Fallout 4 is the undisputed champion, ergo bring on space legs and Super Mutants!

Crossing Souls is excellent
But watch out for the difficulty spike at the end

And you need to finish Undertale. But watch out for the mind-melting endings.

But your objectively conflicts with the OP's objectively.. I objectively object!

(to the use of the word "objectively")

Until I bought ED I was more a survival horror and FRPG fan. Played all the early Res Evils up to and including #5, TES 4 and 5, Dark Souls 1 and 2, Dead Space etc. All wonderful and iconic games.... but I am now almost 1 year into ED and I feel like I am only just getting started.

Elite has he most hours for me, too, probably around the 10-11 weeks.

Now you made me look at my (mostly not installed) Steam Library. Eeeek!

I have several hundred hours across FPS games (in Steam - not counting other "launchers", BF series in Origin, for example, oh, 245hrs - yes I just went and looked)
BF: Bad Company -151hrs; MoH Black Ops - 54 hrs; TF2 - 60.

A couple of hundred in GTA IV, Episodes and V;

157 hours in Prison Architect... I love that game!
