Obscured Destination.

Hi,

When you have used the galaxy map to select a jump drive destination then found it is obscured how do you turn off that destination in the galaxy map please?

If it is the normal list of destinations, that is under 20 ly's it can just be unlocked but it not so simple in the galaxy map unless I am getting it wrong.:S

There is another hotkey to just go into supercruise even if you have a destignation selected. And you can also disable it from the Nav panel the same way you select it.

A locked destination should appear in the left hand Nav Panel and show as locked. If it exceeds 20 LY it should be the last entry. Just unlock it, go into SC and then relock and realign for jump.

HTH

If you mean it's obscured by a star/planet in your current system, you can always jump to supercruise until you can see the destination, then jump to Hyperspace.

Otherwise, I don't think it's possible to unselect a target as such, you just have to select a different navigation target.

look to the left on your nav panel, scroll down till you see the selected entry and unselect it (click and hit "unselect target"). The route planer symbol will still be there, so once you enter SC simply select it again or hit "0" (zero). Standard keybind for "next target on route".

If the target is obscured, by a close planet, go to the navigation pane as normal...... scroll down and you'll see the route with a little dog leg marker next to it

select it and unlock destination

jump to SC and when you do so you will see the destination marker again.. fly to a position where it's no longer obscured and jump/engage FSD as normal

EDIT
spot the slow typing person ...LOL
