Just a few years and there will be a live web-cam there, pointed at the beautiful earth so we can all watch live ... when the meteor hits. o7Kinda off topic. But if humans could overcome..well, being human. I think we'd have an observation deck on the Moon already where all could view the beauty of Earth.
What a sight that would be.

The game would profit so much from featuring more internals to be explored on foot.Since we have a pretty galaxy already, how about an observation deck on stations from which we can see the space revolving around us and enjoy the views?
You can see other player ships through the window (and viceversa). I do not know if it goes as far as seeing them go through the mail slot. With "stations" you mean that 3D menu in which some windows display a movie that fakes the interior of a station, and from where you don´t actually get to see what is really happening out there in real time, like for example, your friend entering through the mailslot, even if he is in the same server? That "stations"?
I'm fairly certain the concourse and landing pads ARE baked together. Get a friend in an instance, them in concourse you in ship, and you can see them if you know where to look. See them move, see the ship maneuver. You can see other player ships through the window (and viceversa). I do not know if it goes as far as seeing them go through the mail slot.
But this is only the bare minimum. There is absolutely no variation in station interior layout. You can see other player ships through the window (and viceversa). I do not know if it goes as far as seeing them go through the mail slot.
Absolutely agree! As it is I have no interest in Odessey however if they give us a real feeling of being able to explore somewhere then that might be tempting! The game would profit so much from featuring more internals to be explored on foot.
Being able to get up and walk around on stations and ships gives a sense of scope and scale.
