does anyone else find this guys voice incredibly soothing or something?

I was watching one of his vids yesterday and my girlfriend came in, stood there for a bit then said "I have no idea what he's talking about, but I could listen to this all day"... I pretty much feel the same lol.

I would pay money to have him read the galnet news to me.

Yes he has a soothing voice. It fits the game in a strange way. What I also love in his vids, is the complete lack of swearing. I don't have a problem with that in general, but I must say it gives his content a special place.

He has a very characterised voice, It would be neat to use it ingame, but not too long. It is calm, but far from being neutral (compliment, here). I actually like a lot the galnet voice we actually have.

As for Ant's voice, it is soothing in a Bob Harris kind of way, but I find him difficult to understand at times. Just me though...

Yes. Oliver Postgate has the same effect for me. (Narration of Noggin the Nog, Ivor the Engine, original Clangers, Bagpuss).

Obsidian is the only ED youtuber I watch,

but I've been feeling his fatigue and weariness in his videos in the last few months, (or has he always been a grumpy old sod like the rest of us and I just never noticed).

Which to be fair, I get excited about 3.0 shipping but if it was expect that I had to do an in depth videos of every feature, bleh, I would soon hate seeing ED with that much constant microscopic exposure.

So kudos for keeping it up man!

I was always suprised he never got to deliver dialogue lines for Obsidian Station.

Maybe Elias Toufexis (the voice of Adam Jensen in the two recent Deus Ex games) might be a candidate for a HCS voice pack?
