Obstruction problem

In the photo below I am trying to make a little area for some restrooms. I built a plaza. I was not able to put the restroom on the plaza as it says obstructed. I then built a area out of wall pieces on top of the plaza. It's still obstructed. I then deleted part of the wall pieces and the plaza leaving bare ground. As you can see it still says obstructed. Is there a way to place a facility building ie: restroom, info booth on anything other then bare ground? I'd like to be able to place a building on a plaza. Any tips? Thanks!!

So I'm guessing the problem is that the game engine is looking at the space directly outside the door of the rest rooms to see if it can connect a path. It cant as that area is already covered with "stuff". There are ways to create plazas but the specific facilities, be they staff or restrooms or even shops, need a way for the game to draw out a path to get people to and from them.

Try turning it around.

Build your buildings first, then use the "use grid" option on paths to create the plaza. Then paths are aligned with the building and you don't have to try aligning the buildings to the path which can be a struggle.

My initial guess was that there's path underneath the bathroom but you said you removed it. It's kind of hard to figure out what's happening, can you upload this to your workshop and link it here?

You should be able to place that easily with no problem as long as there isn't path underneath it. You can place stalls in the ground, underground, up in the sky... (shift key raises/lowers but you have "auto stacking" checked off in lower right)

You should still be able to place it. You can sink them right into the ground,
