PvP Obtaining the Unobtainable...

Seems like there is ongoing debate of those who seen grandfathering as issue vs those who not, while its all not set yet (sandro said that most likely will tweak new blueprints, lets see what they going to do) so its litte to early to jump into concusions, while I do agree, better be safe & sure and roll things now before its too late, since we all know how good FD is at "balancing".

All what FD is need to do, to fix this, for majority of mods, its make new max primary stats to be equal or slightly better than known godrolls in older system.

Example: Make new DD5 max range up 145, so anyone can have "godroll" level module like that, so having fixed penalty, would be offset a bit, by having bit higher multiplier bonus, compared to those like godrolled in random system of 142 with with -5% of mass... there is only a few of these actually around, but again, using gradfathering module like that, compared to new 145 would more like tradeoff choice, rather straight advantage with no means to obtain anymore. Why 145? Since best known its 143, and 2% more for ANYONE not just for few very lucky ones seems more... a good thing?


In that way, grandfathering would be not so much of issue for many like it seems now, atleast for all non-weapon based mods. Some weapons would still remain "unbalanced" on some cases but many would actually benefit more from it, but atleast ship prefomance like speed, recharge rates, or shields would more or less equall. Just like in old days, when we had A rate modules was the cap for all.
