Oceania animals: habitat requirements and predictions

Tried to find some photos but realized I only taken photos of the indoor area when I was visiting.

Here is the official photo of the enclosure that I found online. The left netted area is for the Kea, then in the middle it is the indoor part for the kiwis and the right netted area is the kiwi outdoor yard. Not the best picture, but at least it gives an approximate view of the enclosure.

Edit: There we go, Kiwi in the outdoor yard:

Wow, that's cool. I didn't know it's possible to keep them in outdoor habitats here. Although climate wise it makes sense. so, thanks for sharing this.

This also increases my wish to do a Czech zoo tour and definitely including Zlin. I'd love to finally take good pictures of kiwis. In the darkened enclosures of Berlin, Walsrode and Frankfurt it's impossible to do so.

I thought I read that devils rarely breed in captivity and I thought I sow on animal planet in Australian zoos they keep them in separate habitats.
They actually breed fairly well in captivity, hence why there's a big captive breeding program for them in Australia that now numbers more than 650 devils. I've seen them kept both alone and in groups in the zoos I've been to, and in the announcement trailer there are actually three devils visible if you look closely, suggesting they will be able to be kept in larger groups than just 2:

I bloody hope not, that would be very stupid.

That...why? They don't live anywhere near tropical forests.

A few zoos in New Zealand have outdoor areas for natural breeding (using natural lighting patterns) with indoor areas for actual viewing. Best practice would restrict the kiwis to either a natural lighting environment (you would never see them during the day) or an indoor environment with artificial lighting (nocturnal during the day, light at night). A situation where kiwis can move in and out of darkness freely messes up their natural behaviours and bodily functions. A few zoos have gotten into trouble over the years for basically forcing them out in daylight.
That's less than ideal. At the end of the day I guess I can work with outdoors night only. Thanks for the input!

In the game it won't matter, of course. I plan on building a typical kiwi house, but it's going to be impossible to make it realistic during the day because of the godrays issue. I'll probably put down 2 or 4 implied outdoor habitats for breeding as well (I don't think I'll cope with seeing kiwis running around during the day like in the trailer :ROFLMAO: ).

Quakka
Temperate
Small sized habitat
3-6
Guests can enter
Species enrichment with wallaby’s
Some foliage
i think it will be grassland over temperate for quokka since they are from the south western region where the biome is mediterannean
similar to crested porcupine which didnt receive temperate despite being from south and central italy

Nice to have our Oceania animals now
I thought I had read somewhere of early breeding attempts for T devils suggested either the female got too stressed without the male and the male then ate the baby. That lead me to believe the T devils would be in 1-2, glad I’m wrong and I have a habitat that I set up for T devils well over a year ago.
I made sure to put a lot of foliage for my kiwis to give as mush shelter and nocturnal like vibes.
I put quakkas with my wallaby’s, a bit surprised their only species enrichment is with emus. They make the walabys look so much larger!
Little Blues and the flying foxes look great and are pretty simple.
