Oceania/Australian DLC incoming (unofficially)

Well that's a lot of really good information. There are signs up around the habitat to not "chase" the kangaroos and that last bit is probably why. They mostly seem to be very mellow, but if their food is being brought and they're being taken care of, they may just have no worries.

Are you certain they're red kangaroos? In my experience at least it's usually the eastern grey species that are kept in walkthroughs due to them being more naturally docile.

It's one of the reasons I was hoping for the eastern grey for the Australia Pack (along with the emu). Many zoos here in NZ have eastern greys and emus in walkthrough habitats together (and Bennett's wallabies).

I think it's really easy. When you go to the zoo, you "connect" with certain species in those zoos. If those species are missing, you want to have this in a DLC. Not a huge surprise that people request animals which are more common in most zoos.
That logic applies to any animal that people are familiar with... why do you think so many people want to see a Great White Shark added to a potential marine DLC, despite Great White's doing poorly in captivity? It's because they want to create the zoo of their dreams and fill it with all the animals they like! There are lots of ways to become familiar with animals beyond going to a zoo; movies, television, books and internet... people will "connect" with any species they like, regardless of real-world viability or not...
